Review: Flower by Edie Parker

Flower by Edie Parker

Upper East Side | 781 Madison Ave. | Flower by Edie Parker

Flower by Edie Parker is the first high end fashion brand to really dive headfirst into the world of marijuana. The collection offers a colorful, playful line of collectables to be used for personal or social use. While it’s tempting to make fun of a brand more typically known for its $1,500 clutches for moving into a world more typically associated with your parent’s basement, Edie Parker Flower manages to maintain its own brand identity while pushing the industry forward towards acceptance of marijuana.

FLOWER BY EDIE PARKER:

PRODUCT

If it weren’t for Edie Parker Flower, we probably wouldn’t be writing this review. While Edie Parker as a brand is known for its witty and fun clutches and accessories, the new concept called Edie Parker Flower merits a full review. While many brands have dipped their toes into CBD, Edie Parker is the first high end fashion brand to really dive headfirst into the world of marijuana. The collection offers a colorful, playful line of collectables to be used for personal or social use. Edie Parker Flower includes everything from glass pipes in the shapes of various fruits (grapes, limes, etc) to rolling paper to stash boxes with a leaf motif. Given how much product has been dedicated to alcohol over the years, it only feels about time that a brand would give that same focus, quality and attention to detail to marijuana products. The days of smoking a water bottle bong in your sweatpants in your friends basement are loooooong gone, the world of marijuana has now entered Madison Avenue.

PEOPLE

There was one man working in the store (it is relatively small) who was all around great. You could tell he was passionate as he excitedly explained the store concept, what’s coming next, and how some of the products worked. He let us explore on our own as well but was observant and jumped in at the right moments. He was highly professional but didn’t take himself too seriously which in many ways embodies what Edie Parker stands for.

PLACE

Like the products, the store itself feels high quality with just the right touch of irreverence. The room pops with color and has a playful, fun vibe. The Flower products mesh seamlessly with the rest of the Edie Parker product collection. Is the space theme on one of the displays of clutches and accessories merely a coincidence or a subliminal message to get high? We may never know but the store feels cohesive and well designed whether you are there to pick up the latest evening bag or the new edition of the tabletop lighter.

VIBES

It’s exciting to see a luxury fashion brand take on the world of marijuana which has long been overdue for quality products. While it’s tempting to make fun of a brand more typically known for its $1,500 clutches for moving into a world more typically associated with your parent’s basement, Edie Parker Flower manages to maintain its own brand identity while pushing the industry forward towards acceptance of marijuana. We are excited to see this trend trickle down through the fashion funnel into more inclusively priced brands as marijuana becomes more mainstream.
