Sunday Safari Ft. Rachel Blumenthal

Rachel Blumenthal is the Founder and CEO of DTC kids clothing brand Rockets of Awesome. She shares with us her five favorite stores!

Rachel Blumenthal is a serial entrepreneur who has touched many facets of the consumer retail industry. She began her career at Yves Saint Laurent, before launching her first entrepreneurial venture as designer and founder of the fashion jewelry brand Rachel Leigh. The brand was licensed to GlamHouse in 2011. Rachel then lent her hand to Warby Parker, which was cofounded by her husband Neil, before founding and acting as CEO of Cricket’s Circle, the trusted resource and editorial destination for everything baby and toddler. It was the insights and learnings from the Cricket’s Circle community, in addition to her own experience as a mother that inspired the idea for Rockets of Awesome.

Given her multi-faceted career path and impeccable eye, we were excited to get her take on retail and her five favorite stores. Check out Rachel's Sunday Safari below!

"Camp is the coolest and most unexpected kids toy store you can imagine. My kids beg to go – not just to test drive new toys but to play in their ever-changing wonder world. It's the perfect play space for all ages of kids and always has new never-before-seen toys."

Rockets of Awesome-1

"Rockets of Awesome is the most epic kids clothing store, if I must say so myself ;) We have everything from a giant marshmallow pool to a selfie rainbow swing, a dressing room filled with stickers (for kids to plaster on the walls) and always surprise treats. Most importantly, we sell the most awesome kids clothes – that both parents and kids love."

Flying Tiger

"Flying Tiger makes me smile when I walk through the store. I'm always amazed by the fun and unexpected tchotchke you can find that are chic and inexpensive."

Warby Parker

"Warby Parker is hands-down the best shopping experience for glasses and sunglasses. Aside from the helpful and informative retail associates, the selection is always on point. My favorite part is how unique every Warby store is – they all have secret hidden details throughout and fun take-aways. Plus, most also offer $75 eye exams in these super chic exam rooms. "
